Town Council unanimously approves purchase of 346 S. Elm Street for $135,000.

The town is moving forward with plans to turn a vacant lot on South Elm Street into a 50-space parking lot for Pat Wall Field after the Town Council voted unanimously to purchase the property for $135,000, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Journal reports that the cost for the property (at 346 S. Elm St.) is $125,000 and the additional $10,000 is needed for testing and closing fees.

The new lot is expected to alleviate parking issues at Pat Wall Field, which is used by the Lyman Hall baseball team and other organizations.
