Wallingford Redemption Center May Stop Accepting Coca-Cola Products: Report
Coca-Cola is imposing new requirements on three redemption centers in the state, including a facility in Wallingford.

WALLINGFORD, CT — The trip to the redemption center may get a lot more complicated for some customers after the owners of M&M Redemption Center in Wallingford say they may stop accepting Coca-Cola brand bottles and cans on Friday in the wake of new requirements the company is imposing, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
The Record-Journal reports Coca-Cola wants the facility to sort and bag its bottles and cans by hand, which the owners say is too costly and requires too many resources. Coca-Cola is imposing the new requirements on two other redemption centers in the state, in addition to the Wallingford facility.
A Coca-Cola spokesman told the Record-Journal that the company identified “suspicious activity” on the machines at the three facilities, but wouldn’t elaborate.
