Wallingford Residents Returned From Most Holy Trinity Church's First Mission Trip

Mission Possible Trip

Fifteen Wallingford residents returned from Most Holy Trinity Church’s First Mission Trip to Kentucky on Saturday, August 8th. The team, also known as the Mission Possible team, worked diligently for one week to help open a new school in the Appalachian Mountains, Kentucky, one of the poorest areas of our country. The school was built for children who will attend 6th to 12th grade. The team also visited neighborhoods with open sewer lines, destitute conditions with undrinkable water, and where 7 out of every 8 children live well below the poverty line. The team provided supplies and backpacks to this impoverished community but most important, they gave HOPE. As Pope Francis said: “Today, too, amid so much darkness, we need to see the light of hope and to be men and women who bring hope to others”.  We are proud of our Mission Possible team!
