Wallingford Schools Will Close Early Due to Oncoming Snow

The Wallingford school district has just announced that students will be let out early Monday due to the threat of snow and sleet hitting the state this afternoon.

Wallingford Public Schools will have a two-hour early dismissal, and there will be no afternoon kindergarten, no integrated pre-K or integrated pre-school this afternoon, the school district announced on its website.

Snow is expected to start around 1 p.m. and accumulate an inch. Then it's expected to turn to freezing rain later, forecasts are reporting.
