Wallingford Woman Charged with DUI After Picking Up Juvenile at YMCA: Report

A witness called police and followed the vehicle after observing an erratic driver jump a curb and hit a street sign near Choate.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Wallingford’s Victoria Averianova, 46, was recently arrested on several charges after police say she was driving under the influence on her way to pick up a juvenile at the YMCA on South Elm Street, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports a witness called police after observing Averianova jump a curb and hit a pedestrian crossing sign near Choate Rosemary Hall. The witness followed the driver to the YMCA parking lot.

Averianova is also accused of becoming combative with officers during the booking process.
