Wallingford Woman Found Dead at Pond in Middlefield: UPDATE

MIDDLEFIELD, CT — New details have been released Tuesday concerning a body that was found near Black Pond early Monday morning. State officials say a 55-year-old Wallingford woman, who was reported missing Sunday and was possibly suicidal, was found deceased near the pond by an adjacent cliff, the Record Journal reports.

The woman's name has not been released and the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection is continuing to investigate the manner of death.
