Wallingford YMCA Considers Consolidating, Expanding Branches: Report

WALLINGFORD, CT — Saying they have outgrown their east-side branch on South Elm Street, Wallingford YMCA officials are considering several options, including consolidation, renovating the existing branches or constructing a new facility, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports scenarios include closing both branches and constructing a new facility, expanding the west side and closing east side, or keeping both and adding a pool to the west-side site as part of the renovation.

The YMCA recently sent out surveys to members to seek their input on all the options.
