Wallingford's 7-Day Forecast Includes Plenty of Sun, Temps Near 80, and a Chance of Thunderstorms

The seven-day weather outlook includes the early forecast for Mother's Day.

Summer feels like it’s just around the corner as temperatures on Monday will reach the upper 70s, almost 80 degrees. High 70s also are forecast for Tuesday.

One month ago it was snowing at this time, which is hard to believe.

The weather this week looks great, the only day that will be less than ideal is Tuesday when rain showers and thunderstorms are possible.

The rest of the week looks amazing with plenty of sunshine, temps in the low 70s and the early Mother’s Day forecast for Sunday looks great with sunny skies and temperatures in the lows 70s.

The National Weather Service does have a “Special Weather Statement” in effect for Monday for an elevated fire weather risk.

According to the bulletin, the elevated fire weather potential is for this afternoon and early evening.

“Southerly winds should gust to 20 MPH and occasionally to around 25 MPH… This afternoon and early this evening...Across Southern Connecticut… This coupled with relative humidities from around 30 to 40 percent will promote an elevated fire weather risk…”

This Afternoon: Sunny, with a high near 78. South wind 8 to 15 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 53. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light in the evening.

Tuesday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 11am. Increasing clouds, with a high near 78. Southwest wind around 7 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Tuesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10pm, then a slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 74. North wind around 7 mph becoming south in the afternoon.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 47.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 74.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 50.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 74.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 54.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 77.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 56.
