Water Main Break Leads to Early Dismissal for One Wallingford School
School officials say a nearby water main break is forcing one elementary school to be dismissed early on Monday.

Due to a water main break near Pond Hill Elementary School, the school system will have to release Pond Hill students early today Monday, December 1, said Wallingford Superintendent of Schools Salvatore F. Menzo.
The students will be dismissed at 1:20 p.m. Again, ONLY students from Pond Hill will be dismissed early. Also, there will not be any YMCA programming at the school.
In the event that an adult is not home when a child arrives, children will be brought to Stevens Elementary School for pick-up, Menzo wrote.
