WEATHER UPDATE: Flood Advisory Issued For Wallingford
The National Weather Service forecasts that flooding is possible for the area.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Advisory for Wallingford, Cheshire, North Haven, and Oxford until 6:30 p.m. Monday.
The weather service writes that as of, “* AT 431 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN THAT WILL CAUSE URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING IN THE ADVISORY AREA.
* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE... WATERBURY...DANBURY...WALLINGFORD...SOUTHINGTON...NAUGATUCK...

The NWS writes that “most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful enough to sweep vehicles off the road. When encountering flooded roads make the smart choice...turn around...don’t drown.”
