WEATHER UPDATE: Wallingford's Stormy Weekend Forecast
Once again thunderstorms and rain are possible this weekend.

We had been on a roll of having gorgeous weather weekends for the past six weeks or so, but that is about to change somewhat this weekend.
It’s not a complete washout as Saturday is definitely the best weather day of the weekend.
In reality, the best weather is forecast for Friday with sunny skies and temps in the high 70s in southern Connecticut and into the mid-80s in the northern part of the state.

For Saturday, showers and thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon hours along the southern half of the state, while there appears to be no rain threat in the northern half of the state on Saturday.
Plenty of sun is also forecast for Saturday with highs between 77-83 in Connecticut with cooler temps at the Shoreline.

On Saturday night, thunderstorms are possible for the entire state and that carries over into Sunday.
Fog may also be an issue late Saturday/early Sunday and then it will be cloudy all day on Sunday with a chance of showers and thunderstorms during the day and evening.
Up to a half inch of rain is possible.
Here is Wallingford’s latest hyperlocal National Weather Service forecast:
This Afternoon: High near 79.
Tonight: Clear, with a low around 57. Calm wind becoming northeast 5 to 9 mph after midnight.
Saturday: Sunny, with a temperature falling to around 59 by 5pm. South wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm in the afternoon.
Saturday Night: Patchy fog before midnight. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a temperature falling to near 57 by 8pm, then rising to around 79 during the remainder of the night. Light south wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph after midnight.
Sunday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a temperature falling to around 64 by 4pm. South wind 10 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Sunday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 10pm. Cloudy, with a temperature falling to near 62 by 8pm, then rising to around 72 during the remainder of the night. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
