Student was pulled from school, has been treated and is full recovered; open forum scheduled for parents tonight to answer questions.

A student at James H. Moran Middle School developed whooping cough, or pertussis, at the beginning of the school year and Wallingford health officials are urging parents to be on alert, according to NBC Connecticut.
NBC reports that the student was pulled from school but since has been treated with antibiotics and is full recovered, but the Wallingford Health Department sent a precautionary letter to parents on Wednesday.
The school system also distributed a fact sheet containing basic information on whooping cough and how to protect against an infection, according to NBC. There will also be an open forum tonight (Sept. 11) at 6:30 p.m. in the Moran auditorium in which parents will be able to raise questions and concerns
