Woman, 74, Struck By Car In Accident That Killed Her Dog Issued Ticket
The woman and her dog were hit by a car while crossing the street. The driver was also charged.

Wallingford resident Pauline Eckardt, 74, who was struck by a car while crossing Route 150 last month in an accident that also killed her dog, was ticketed for the incident and the driver was also charged, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
The Record-Journal reports Eckardt was issued a $92 ticket for illegal use of a highway by a pedestrian.
The driver, 54-year-old Mark Kinard (also a Wallingford resident), was charged with evading responsibility and operating with a suspended license, according to the Record-Journal.

The accident occurred near Amore Pizza on Nov. 10 and Kinard returned to the scene after initially fleeing, according to NBC Connecticut.
