Woman Found With 570 Bags Of Heroin After Crash: Wallingford PD
Police say several bags of heroin fell out of the woman's sleeve while she was struggling with the officer investigating the accident.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A Wallingford woman was arrested after police say she was operating under the influence and found to be in the possession of 570 bags of heroin while they were investigating a crash Friday afternoon. Police responded to the intersection of South Cherry Street and Ward Street just before 2 p.m. on March 23 after a vehicle was rear-ended. No injuries were reported in the crash, according to Lt. Cheryl Bradley.
Police saw a woman running to the scene of the crash from a nearby convenience store. The woman, identified as Jennifer Tracy, 32, was determined to be at fault for the crash, according to Bradley. The investigating officer believed Tracy was under the influence of drugs or alcohol and noticed a bulge in her jacket sleeve, according to Bradley.
Bradley said Tracy became combative when questioned about the bulge and several bundles of heroin fell out of her sleeve during a brief struggle with the officer. Following a search, police seized 570 bags of heroin that was hidden in Tracy’s sleeve and bra along with $211 in cash and several unused needles, according to Bradley.
