Woman Stole Animal Shelter Donation Box: Report

Wallingford Police are investigating the theft, which occurred at a liquor store in town.

A woman in her 40s or 50s stole a donation box containing money that was earmarked for a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports Wallingford Police are investigating the theft, which occurred at Center Street Wine & Liquor on Monday.

The donation box was for Friday’s Rescue Foundation in Groton.
