8 Stores Burglarized in Waterford, Police Seek Your Help

Police are looking for witnesses to help them solve the case.

WATERFORD, CT — The Police Department is currently investigating numerous burglaries to eight stores, all in which are located in strip mall type set ups. On 4-18-2018 four businesses were burglarized by the suspects smashing out the front glass door window, police said.

Suspects stole cash only from registers or drawers. The businesses were located at 40 Boston Post Road and 86 Boston Post Road, police said.

On 4-19-2018 four businesses were burglarized in which the suspects used a pry to gain entry. Suspects again only stole cash from cash registers or cash drawers. The businesses were located in Utopia Plaza 262 Boston Post Road.

The alarm activated in one of the stores and upon officers arrival they located a hat on the ground near the rear door. It is believed that the suspects left on foot heading into the Brookside Trailer park located adjacent to the plaza.
