Crews Respond To 7-Vehicle Crash On I-95 In Waterford: Report

WATERFORD, CT — State police and state Department of Transportation officials said a seven-vehicle crash occurred Thursday on Interstate 95 south in Waterford, as reported by the New London Day. Police said there were no serious injuries in the crash.

According to the Day, DOT officials said the wreck occurred around 12:45 p.m. near Exit 81. A ShopRite tractor trailer and six other vehicles were involved in the incident.

DOT officials said crews were doing construction work in the area at the time of the wreck, according to the Day. Traffic was backed up on I-95 for a portion of the afternoon as crews worked to clear the area.
