A dog was found tied to a tree near the animal shelter sign on Boston Post Road around 6 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 1.
“The dog, which is a male, was very large and strong and did his best not to allow Officer Edwards to secure him in the shelter,” according to Waterford Police Department. “However, he is now secure in the Waterford-East Lyme Animal Control facility.”
