Drunk Man Led Waterford Police on Chase Before Rollover: Cops

The man is facing several charges.

A man who engaged Waterford Police in a pursuit is facing a DUI charge.

According to police, a patrol unit saw a vehicle operating erratically on Route 1 in the area of Clark Lane around 10 p.m. Saturday. When the patrol unit was behind the vehicle in the area of Willetts Avenue the suspect vehicle accelerated and attempted to elude the patrol unit.

After a brief pursuit, the suspect vehicle rolled onto its side on Willetts Avenue in the area of Clements Street.

Police said there were four occupants in the vehicle, one of whom was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver, Dylon M. Goss, was arrested and charged with engaging an officer in pursuit, driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, reckless endangerment, risk of injury to a minor, operating a motor vehicle without a license, improper turn and failure to stay in the established lane.

Goss was released on a $500 non-surety bond and given a court date of Dec. 14.
