Former Employee Files Suit Against Waterford Nursing Home: Report
A former employee has filed suit against a Waterford nursing home, alleging he was wrongfully fired.

WATERFORD, CT — A former employee has filed suit against a Waterford nursing home, alleging he was wrongfully fired, the New London Day reported. The suit was filed last month by the former director of environmental services at Greentree Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Waterford, Patrick B. Hensch.
Hensch was hired by the nursing home on March 20 and fired only a few months later on July 27, according to the New London Day. Hensch alleges he was wrongfully fired due to a confrontation with a nursing supervisor during an evacuation of the facility on July 22.
Hensch alleges that he confronted the nursing supervisor after she did not properly follow fire safety protocol during the evacuation, the New London Day reported. Hensch said he was off duty at the time of the incident, however he witnessed the scene from across the street when firetrucks began responding to the facility.
