Former Waterford Resident Appointed Deputy Director of NCIS
His important work will involve matters both criminal and involving national security, among other things.

WATERFORD, CT – A graduate of Waterford High School will now serve as deputy director for the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, The Day reported.
Samuel Worth was announced last week to oversee about 1,900 employees in more than 190 locations, according to The Day. The organization has a chief operating budget of $424.8 million a year.
A large portion of the work NCIS does involves criminal investigation, The Day reported. Worth also oversees national security issues like counterterrorism and counterintelligence work.
