Man Sentenced In Fatal Waterford Crash Case: Report
A man has been sentenced for his alleged role in a 2014 Waterford crash that claimed the lives of a woman's two children and her fiancé.

WATERFORD, CT — A Massachusetts man has been sentenced for his alleged role in a crash that claimed the lives of a woman's two children and her fiancé, the New London Day reported. The incident occurred on Oct. 12, 2014 on Interstate 95 in Waterford.
Court officials said 62-year-old Gerard S. Dube failed to slow his tractor trailer for traffic that was backed up due to an earlier accident and hit the family's car, according to the New London Day. He pleaded guilty in November to charges of negligent homicide with a motor vehicle and reckless driving, officials said.
Court officials said Dube was a family man with no previous criminal record who was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the incident, and there was no evidence he was distracted, the New London Day reported. He was sentenced to six months in prison followed by two years of probation, officials said.
