Police Seeking Suspected Watch Thieves In Waterford

WATERFORD, CT - Police are currently investigating a theft that occurred Friday at Mallove’s Jewelers in Waterford. Police said two watches were stolen at approximately 2:45 p.m.
Police said one male suspect entered the store and walked to the men’s watch display while another male suspect entered shortly after. The two met briefly, then one of them stood in the center/rear of the store to presumably act as a lookout, according to a release. Police said the other suspect leaned over a watch display and stole two watches, then concealed them in his pants pocket. Both suspects then left together, police said.

The suspects' vehicle is possibly a black 4-door sedan, police said.
One of the stolen watches were described by police as a Movado Bold Connected II, constructed of a 44 mm stainless steel case with a black ion bezel, a round black dial, a black silicone strap and a stainless steel buckle valued at $695. The second stolen watch could not be immediately identified, police said.
