State Sen. Maynard Involved in Car Accident in Waterford
The senator was involved in a serious fall at his home in 2014.

State Sen. Andrew Maynard was involved in a one-car accident on Route 32 in Waterford, NBC Connecticut reports.
His office tells NBC CT that the senator is conscious and at an area hospital. No other details about the crash were available.
Maynard, a Democrat, who represents, Griswold, Groton, North Stonington, Plainfield, Preston, Sterling, Stonington and Voluntown, was seriously injured in a fall in his home in July 2014 and has been undergoing physical therapy since.

Maynard is chairman of the General Assembly’s Transportation Committee, and is the Senate’s Deputy Majority Leader.
NBC CT reports that Maynard did travel to the State Capitol on Thursday. His office said Maynard has been keeping a full schedule and is continuing with his speech therapy, the Norwich Bulletin reports.
