Waterford Firefighters Help Put Out New London Brush Fire: Report

Officials said the fire took place at an area described as the size of two football fields.

NEW LONDON, CT — On Monday, firefighters worked to extinguish a brush fire at an area described as the size of two football fields, the New London Day reported. The fire took place at an area in Bates Woods Park and took approximately two hours to extinguish, according to fire officials.

According to the Day, Waterford firefighters assisted in putting out the fire and provided two brush trucks.Officials said no injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
