Waterford Man Nearly Hits Police Cruiser, Charged With DUI: Report
Police said a Waterford man was charged with driving under the influence after nearly colliding with a police cruiser.

EAST LYME, CT - East Lyme police said a Waterford man was charged with driving under the influence after nearly colliding with a police cruiser, the New London Day reported. The incident occurred Friday near 87 West Main Street around 11 p.m., police said.
Police said Patrick H. Caulkins, 22, was pulled over after his vehicle crossed the double yellow line and headed toward the cruiser, according to the New London Day. Police said the suspect failed a number of sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested on charges of driving under the influence and failure to drive right.
