WATERFORD, CT — A Waterford police officer was recently promoted to Sergeant due to his work ethic, dedication and other admirable qualities. The department said on Facebook that Officer Michael Fedor was promoted Monday night by the Waterford Police Commission following an extensive search.
The promotional test included a written exam, an interview panel comprised of Sergeants from other police agencies and an interview with the commission. Current sergeants and lieutenants were also polled for their thoughts on the candidates' work ethics, technical abilities and dedication among other categories.
Police officials said Fedor was chosen out of a very fine candidate pool, and congratulated him on his new position.
