Waterford Police Crack Down on Drunk Driving, More this Week
Police said anyone who sees a suspected drunk or hazardous driver should call the department.

New London and Waterford Police will team up this week, concentrating enforcement efforts on drunk driving, speeding, seat belt violations and distracted driving.
Roving patrols will be conducted throughout both areas during all shifts. A sobriety checkpoint will also be placed on Water Street in conjunction with the Breath Alcohol Testing Mobile Unit on Thursday.
Police remind the public that a person who consumes alcohol should never drive, and a designated driver should be established before social activities involving the consumption of alcoholic beverages. Police said anyone who sees a suspected drunk or hazardous driver should call 911.
