Waterford Police to Host Tip-A-Cop Event for Special Olympics

Officers with the Waterford Police Department will host a Tip-A-Cop event to benefit Special Olympics Connecticut at Langley’s on Thursday, September 16th from 5 to 9 p.m. Langley’s is located at 28 Lamphere Road in Waterford. During the event, officers will volunteer their time and team up with restaurant employees to welcome customers and take and serve their orders. All tips the officers receive will be dedicated to helping Special Olympics Connecticut provide life-changing sports, health and fitness programs to athletes of all abilities. The Law Enforcement Torch Run® for Special Olympics Connecticut is one of the movement's largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicles - celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2021! A highlight of the program is the annual Torch Run, when officers from police departments and law enforcement agencies across the state participate in a three-day run leading up to the Special Olympics Connecticut Summer Games in June.
