Waterford Police Pursue on Foot Man Suspected of Fraud

After instigating a complaint at the Crystal Mall, police were forced to pursue a suspect.

WATERFORD, CT – On Tuesday, police investigated a fraud complaint from a local business in the Crystal Mall.

It was determined that the suspect, Krystal Nazario, had used the identity of another person to try and obtain services. Nazario had also allegedly used a fake driver’s license and credit card, according to a release.

Patrol officers located the suspect during the investigation, who attempted to flee on foot. Police briefly pursued, and Nazario eventually was stopped and identified.

Police learned that Nazario also had an outstanding warrant from the state of New York. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Waterford Police Department for processing.

Nazario was charged with a number of crimes, including identity theft and fugitive from justice, and held on $125,000 bond.
