Waterford Police Seize Heroin Following Man's Arrest

Waterford police said officers seized heroin and more following a New London man's arrest.

WATERFORD, CT - Police said officers arrested a man Thursday charged in connection to the sale of heroin in Waterford. This investigation also led to the seizure of more than 6 grams of heroin, police said.

Officers were assisted by the Regional Community Enhancement Task Force, according to a release. The task force is comprised of detectives and officers from southeastern Connecticut formed to combat the heroin epidemic in the area and improve the quality of life for citizens. Police said officers seized 6.1 grams of heroin and $1,344 as a result of the investigation. The suspect, David S. Morgan of New London, was charged with possession of heroin and possession of heroin with intent to sell, police said.
