Waterford Police Sergeant Retires After 27 Years Of Service
She held positions such as Sergeant, Field Training Officer and Hostage Negotiator among others.

WATERFORD, CT — The Waterford Police Union held a retirement party for retired Sergeant Dana Seymour on Friday, marking the end of her 27 years serving the Town of Waterford and the Waterford Police Department.
In a recent Facebook post, police said Seymour held positions such as Sergeant, Accident Investigation Team Supervisor, Field Training Officer and Hostage Negotiator, as well as two assignments to the Statewide Narcotics Task Force.
She also volunteered to participate in a number of community activities, such as Neighborhood Watch, Blue Light Project, the Police Memorial and the department's holiday tree decorating.

"She was a driving force behind Madeline Guarraia’s visits to the WPD," police said on Facebook, "and was assigned to Sandy Hook for several weeks after the school shooting in Newtown."
