West Hartford won its home opener at King Philip Middle School 48-40 over visiting Wolcott. Down 6 in the second quarter, Jack Krugman, George Andrews and Jack Tousignant led a tenacious, full court press that sparked a 19-0 run. The Cagers went into the half with a lead that it never gave up.
