"7UP Guy" and Comedic Sensation Godfrey Invades Comix at Foxwoods Starting February 5th
Comix at Foxwoods presents renowned star of the "7UP" commercials Godfrey for a three-show event starting Thursday, Feb. 5 at 8:00 p.m.

Godfrey is one of the hottest stand-up comedians on the circuit today. Growing up in The Windy City of Chicago, Godfrey was constantly in trouble for misbehaving, which was brought on by his portrayal as the bonafide class clown.
Godfreyʼs Nigerian parents unknowingly encouraged his bad behavior by showing him classic comedy films from an early age. It wasn’t until studying in college, where Godfrey would find himself performing impressions of his football teammates, that he realized his irreverent style of comedy might be more than just a pastime.
After college, Godfrey took his talents to the center stage and has since become one of the most dominant forces on the comedy scene today. He’s in constant demand, both as a host and stand-up headliner, at the most prominent comedy clubs across both coasts. It’s Godfrey’s canny gift for not just talking about general observations, but the nuances found in those observations has landed him gigs at The Comedy Cellar, the Comic Strip, Caroline’s Comedy Club; and The Laugh Factory and The Improv in Los Angeles.

As soon as Godfrey went pro, he immediately landed several high profile projects.
Ben Stiller cast him to play himself in “Zoolander,” a performance that has since achieved cult status. Godfreyʼs more recent film roles include “Johnson Family Vacation,” “The Cook Out” with Queen Latifah, “Phat Girlz” starring Monique, and “Soul Plane,” alongside Snoop Dogg. Though his resume is extensive, Godfrey is perhaps best known for his stint as the “7UP Guy” in the beloved 7UP national campaign.

Coming off filming his fourth appearance on BET’s “Comicview,” a guest starring role on “30 Rock,” a recurring role on “Louie” and recording his own half-hour special for Comedy Central, Godfrey is clearly on the verge of super-stardom.
