8th Grade Magic Place Second at Girls Jr. Hoophall Classic at the Basketball Hall of Fame

The West Hartford Magic 8th grade girls defeated Stockton Basketball Academy and CT Attack AAU in two preliminary games on Sunday at Springfield College to qualify for the semi-final round of the Jr. HoopHall Classic, Monday at the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield.
In the semi final game, the Magic avenged its only defeat of the season to that point by defeating a very good Newtown, Ct team, 55-41. Delaney Connors led the Magic with 15 points, followed by Maddy Mandyck, 10 points, and Amber Raisner and Lena Proietti with 9 points each.
The final game was a rematch with Stockton Academy. Stockton was able to defeat the Magic, 28-22, in a defensive struggle.
Delaney Connors and Maddy Mandyck were each named to the All Tournament team.
On the season, the Magic is 11-0 in CGBL league play and 14-2 overall.
