American School For The Deaf Cleared To Build Dorms In West Hartford
The West Hartford Plan & Zoning Commission unanimously approved a special permit for the project earlier this month.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — Anticipating an uptick in enrollment in coming years, the locally-based American School for the Deaf will build two new dormitories on its sprawling, 35.5-acre campus.
Earlier this month, the West Hartford Plan & Zoning Commission unanimously approved a special permit for ASD to build two, one-story dormitory buildings in the campus quadrangle.
The project still has to meet several condition within the town's code of ordinances, but the PZC vote, essentially, greenlights a project that is expected to start this fall and be finished by the fall of 2024.
