For National Food Bank Day, consider donating to a Greater Hartford food pantry (courant.com) — You can directly help West Hartford neighbors facing food insecurity by dropping off nonperishable donations at the West Hartford Food Pantry in Town Hall, 50 South Main St., on weekdays during business hours. West Hartford Resident Brings Back CT Beer Tour After Raising More than $136K to Fight Blood Cancer - We-Ha (we-ha.com) — A West Hartford resident's CT Beer Tour is back this fall, rallying breweries statewide to raise money for Blood Cancer United during Blood Cancer Awareness Month. Through early October, participating taprooms will host special fundraising events and collect donations, building on more than $136,000 already raised in honor of the organizer's late father.
