Scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 25, the ticketed evening includes drinks, live music, and supports the farmers market's mission of connecting area producers with the community, though guests must plan for off-site parking.
2. West Hartford Town Manager Awarded Pay Raises For 2027, 2028 (patch.com) — West Hartford residents will see their town manager, Rick Ledwith, receive 3.3% raises in both 2027 and 2028 after a unanimous Town Council vote. Council members from both parties praised his performance and said they benchmarked his pay against other municipalities while also boosting town retirement contributions as part of the package.
3. Multiple People Injured Monday in 3 Separate Crashes on Albany Avenue in West Hartford - We-Ha (we-ha.com) — Albany Avenue in West Hartford saw three unrelated crashes on a rainy Monday morning, including a rollover and a school bus collision, all resulting in only minor injuries. Police briefly closed parts of the road and transported a student and other drivers to area hospitals, underscoring safety concerns on this busy Route 44 corridor.

Starbucks closes two Connecticut stores as part of nationwide restructuring (ctpost.com) — A longtime Starbucks in Corbin's Corner has closed, but West Hartford still has four other locations, including a newer South Main Street shop opened in 2025. 5. Freimuth Named CNE Rookie of the Week for Second Time in September (hartfordhawks.com) — West Hartford-based Hartford women's soccer standout Taylor Freimuth has earned Conference of New England Rookie of the Week honors for the second time this month. The freshman forward leads the Hawks with seven goals and will help #19 Hartford face Suffolk on Wednesday before hosting Wentworth in Saturday's Hawktober home game.
