Starbucks closes two Connecticut stores as part of nationwide restructuring (ctpost.com) — A longtime Starbucks in Corbin's Corner has closed, but West Hartford still has four other locations, including a newer South Main Street shop opened in 2025. The closure is part of a nationwide restructuring that shuttered 250 stores, while other local Starbucks in town remain open for your coffee runs.

Freimuth Named CNE Rookie of the Week for Second Time in September (hartfordhawks.com) — West Hartford-based Hartford women's soccer standout Taylor Freimuth has earned Conference of New England Rookie of the Week honors for the second time this month. The freshman forward leads the Hawks with seven goals and will help #19 Hartford face Suffolk on Wednesday before hosting Wentworth in Saturday's Hawktober home game.
