American Eagle Federal Credit Union Opens in West Hartford

American Eagle Federal Credit Union opened a new full-service community banking office in West Hartford, CT., on Tuesday, January 3, 2012.

The 2,500-square-foot facility, located at 1245 New Britain Avenue features teller, new account, and investment services areas, a coin-counting machine, two drive-thru lanes, and a 24-hour drive-up ATM. The West Hartford office has four full-time and one part-time staff.

This is American Eagle FCU’s eleventh community banking facility in Connecticut.

The West Hartford office is featuring product specials on Money Market Savings, Home Equity, Mortgage, Auto, Personal, and Education Loans from Jan. 3 through Feb. 15.

“We are very pleased with the location of our new West Hartford branch and we are looking forward to meeting the financial needs of this community in the coming years. This facility is part of our continuing strategy to build branches within our tri-county field of membership, which includes Hartford, Middlesex, and Tolland counties,” stated William J. Dokas, President/CEO.

The branch is managed by Jennifer Valenches, a six-year employee who most recently was Branch Manager of the Credit Union’s Cromwell office. Jennifer has over 18 years of banking experience having started her career at Mechanics Savings Bank in the Elmwood section of West Hartford. She is a volunteer with the Children’s Home in Cromwell and is a member of the Middlesex County, Newington, and West Hartford Chambers of Commerce. Jennifer attended the New England College of Finance and resides in Newington.
