
Dr. Lisa Chirch, an infectious diseases physician with expertise in HIV/AIDS and travel medicine, is now seeing patients at the University of Connecticut Health Center.
Chirch joins the Health Center from Stony Brook University Medical Center on Long Island, where she was an assistant professor of clinical medicine and directed the AIDS Education and Treatment Center. She concurrently served as medical director of the David E. Rogers, M.D., Center for HIV/AIDS Care in Southampton, N.Y. She is a member of the International Antiviral Society-USA core faculty.
Chirch completed a fellowship in infectious diseases at Stony Brook following her internal medicine residency at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Her medical degree is from the State University of New York Upstate Medical University College of Medicine in Syracuse.

Chirch, who lives in West Hartford, also is director of the UConn Health Center International Traveler’s Medical Serivce. She is board certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases, and is fluent in Spanish.
