Beth Bye to Join May 23 Panel on Women in Politics
Duncaster is hosting a free, open discussion of "The Evolving Role of Women in Politics and Governance"

State Senator Beth Bye will join three others in a free, open discussion of “The Evolving Role of Women in Politics and Governance.” The event will take place on Friday, Mar. 23 at 11:00 at Duncaster. The event is open to the public, however pre-registration is required.
More women than ever are running for public office in the United States, specifically within the state of Connecticut. The discussion will focus on their evolving roles on the local and national political stage.
The event will include a panel of four female politicians led by Carole Mulready. Mulready was the past president of the Great Hartford League of Women Voters. It was arranged by Duncaster’s Public Issues Committee.

Other panelists will include:
- Bloomfield Mayor Suzette De Beatham-Brown
- Assistant Attorney General Claire Kindell of Bloomfield, who is a candidate for Connecticut Attorney General
- New Britain Mayor Erin Stewart of New Britain, who has formed an exploratory committee to become a candidate for Governor of Connecticut
