Car Crashes Into Building In West Hartford
The accident occurred on Thursday afternoon, according to police.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — A car crashed into a building Thursday afternoon in West Hartford, according to police. At about 12:10 p.m. on March 7, the West Hartford police and fire departments responded to a car (Subaru) into the building at 1109 New Britain Ave., according to Capt. Michael Perruccio.
Perruccio said there was a “small breach of the building (3x4 foot indentation)” to Jerry’s Artarama, an arts supply store, at that address. There were no injuries, no utilities affected, and traffic flow in the area is not affected, according to Perruccio. The car was towed from the scene and the town building inspector was responding to the scene and the businesses are still open.
The driver of the Subaru was a 58-year-old female and no enforcement has been taken as of this point, according to Perruccio. The investigation is ongoing.
