Cat Perishes In West Hartford House Fire
A fire broke out at a West Hartford residence Wednesday.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — West Hartford firefighters were able get to a residential blaze quickly Wednesday, but a family cat perished in the blaze, fire officials said.
The fire on South Highland St. broke out at 11:03 a.m. Firefighters were at the scene three minutes later.
It was on the third floor of a multi-family home.

Firefighters said were able to quickly bring the fire under control, but one cat did not survive, officials said.
One occupant was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries, fire officials said.
