An April 30 workshop at Whiting Lane School guides families in West Hartford on healthy tech habits and digital contracts.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A community group and local schools are hosting a family-focused workshop this week aimed at helping parents and elementary-age students set healthier technology boundaries.

The second installment of a two-part spring series, “From Screenagers to Tech Contracts,” will be held Thursday, April 30, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Whiting Lane Elementary School, 47 Whiting Lane.

The session will bring together local high school principals to guide families through a hands-on process of creating personalized digital use agreements.

Participants will take part in a facilitated discussion designed to produce a “family digital contract,” outlining agreed-upon technology habits at home.
