Crash Closes Major West Hartford Intersection For Several Hours

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A two-vehicle crash closed a busy West Hartford intersection for several hours Wednesday.

The crash took place at 7:36 a.m. near Albany Avenue and Trout Brook Drive. Two vehicles collided at the intersection and each vehicle sustained heavy front end damage, police said.

A Hyundai Tucson had been traveling east on Albany Avenue and was making a left turn onto King Philip Drive, police said. A Mazda 3i had been traveling west on Albany Avenue and, as the vehicles entered the intersection they collided, police said.

Both drivers were transported to area hospitals for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, police said.
