WEST HARTFORD, CT — Traffic is snarled as police probe an accident Friday afternoon on Interstate 84 in West Hartford, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The DOT reports the crash was on I-84 West between exits 44 and 43, with the right and center lanes closed.

The accident was first reported at 3:29 p.m., according to the DOT, and it is "unknown" when it will be cleared.
