Cromwell Resident Promoted to Director of Admissions at Caleb Hitchcock Health Center

Cromwell resident Elizabeth Rios has been promoted to Director of Admissions at Duncaster's Caleb Hitchcock Health Center

Cromwell resident Elizabeth Rios has been promoted to Director of Admissions at Duncaster’s Caleb Hitchcock Health Center. Rios has been a Duncaster employee for the past eight years. Before accepting her new position she worked as a systems support and educational specialist and before that she served as Charge Nurse.

Her responsibilities in this new position include coordinating transfers from referring centers and hospitals to Caleb Hitchcock for rehabilitation, obtaining background information and clinical information from incoming patients and new residents and providing a smooth transition for incoming residents who previously lived independently at Duncaster. Rios also works with families outside of Duncaster that seek a safe living environment for their loved ones that have a memory loss illness.

Rios received her Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts from Central Connecticut State University. Currently, she is a licensed practical nurse and has also received Applied Behavioral Analysis Certification from Penn State University. She is a participant in Duncaster’s Wellness Committee and the UCONN Dream Team.
