'Distraction' Leads To Carjacking In West Hartford: Police
What appears to be an organized carjacking was pulled off in West Hartford Tuesday, police said.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A Tuesday carjacking in West Hartford appears to be an organized setup, police said.
The incident took place at 12:34 p.m. in the parking lot of 108 Oakwood Ave., police said. A 42-year-old man had arrived there after arranging to sell his vehicle to a potential buyer, police said.
As he was waiting for the potential buyer, a silver BMW pulled into the lot, police said.

The man then noticed a "distressed motorist" in the parking lot and was simultaneously approached by one of the occupants of the BMW, who displayed a handgun and stole the his keys, police said.
The occupants of the BMW, including the "distressed motorist," then left the parking lot with the victim's vehicle and the silver BMW, police said.

It appears as if the "distressed motorist" acted as a distraction, police said.
The victim did not report any injuries.
A short time after the incident, the victim's vehicle was located occupied in Manchester and two arrests have been made, police said.
