Downed Pole Prompts Road Closure In West Hartford
A crash caused major delays in a busy section of West Hartford Tuesday morning.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A downed utility pole prompted police to shut down a road in a busy area of West Hartford for nearly three hours Tuesday morning.
A vehicle hit the pole at about 7:15 a.m.
Detours were initially expected to last several hours, but the road was reopened by 10 a.m. police said. The area of North Main between Fern Street and Asylum Avenue was closed off.
